made our way to shinjuku for our rock melon buffet. the spread was limited but the standard is really good. there're three types of melon - honey dew, orange rock melon and green rock melon. the green one is the one tt doesnt really look appealing but it is deceivingly sweet. each melon costs 12,600Y which is more than S$140!

they had great spaghetti and curry chicken (surprisingly) and their desserts feature their own fruits which were great. we also had a peach sundae closer to the end of our 90min buffet and that was fantastic too. ate damn alot before departing to ueno to get on cassiopeia.

tobias was quite upset abt not being able to get a top floor room cos he thinks the view there would be better. but he's just being picky cos i think we really have to thank God that we even managed to get tickets cos everybody's rushing up to hokkaido for the flowers. our bottom floor room was good too. plus we slept real early so didnt really have time to watch scenery.

i woke up at about 8pm cos the kids nxt door were being really noisy. tobias went out to look for milk for me to help me to sleep but he could only get orange juice and he had a dangerous encounter with some japanese gangster. the rest of the night went quite smoothly though and i only woke up the nxt morning around 5ish am.
